What this blade is for
This 5 pack of Morse reciprocating saw blades combines a 203mm (8″) length with an extra-wide 25mm (1″) body and 1.3mm thickness. The 10/14 TPI variable tooth pattern is listed for wood and metal.
The extra width and thickness together make this one of the stiffest blades in the 203mm range. A wider, thicker blade deflects less, so it holds a straighter line in long or heavy cuts, such as cutting out frames, sawing through mixed timber and metal, or trimming sections where accuracy matters.
The 10/14 variable pitch is fine enough for pipe, tube and metal fixings, yet still cuts steadily through timber. Its varying tooth spacing reduces chatter, which also helps with control.
How to check this is the right blade
Measure the length (203mm) and, importantly, the width: this blade is 25mm, wider than our standard 20mm blades. Then count the teeth, which vary between 10 and 14 per inch. Our guides on how blades are measured and which TPI do I need explain the same measuring ideas for bandsaw blades.
Frequently asked questions
What is the benefit of a 25mm wide reciprocating blade?
A wider body is stiffer, so it bends less and helps keep the cut straight. It is useful for heavier cuts and when you want more control.
Can this blade be used on wood with nails in it?
Yes. It is listed for wood and metal, so it handles timber containing nails or screws, as well as pipe and other metal sections.
